Japheth O. Rachuonyo

Rachuonyo did his elementary education at Ranen Primary School and finished in 1975.He then proceeded to Nyabondo Boys High School for Secondary education,again finishing in 1979.Upon completion he was admitted to St.Mary’s Yala for Advanced Level education and successfully graduated in 1981.Rachuonyo joined Nairobi University in 1983 to pursue a degree in law.Upon successfully completion in 1986,he joined The Kenya School of Law,obtaining a Diploma in Law in 1987.Thereafter,he was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in 1988.From then onwards,Rachuonyo has been and continues to be in private legal practice in Nairobi; first as an associate in the Firm of Nyauchi & Company Advocates and later (until now) as a partner in the Firm of Rachuonyo & Rachuonyo Advocates.He is a Commissioner for Oaths,Notary Public,and a Certified Public Secretary.He is also a Member of the Law Society of Kenya,East African Law Society,Commonwealth Lawyers Association,and the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya.Rachuonyo served as a member of the Board of Governors,St Mary’s School Yala and Chairman of the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) between 2005 and 2007.He served as a member of the PTA – Sunshine Secondary School,Nairobi; He is a Church Elder at Lavington SDA Church,Nairobi and a Board Member – Zawadi Africa Educational Fund,Kenyan Chapter.Rachuonyo is a Kenyan born citizen and is married with two children.
