Ben M. Ngutu

Ben is a development professional who has worked for more than 19 years based mainly in Kenya with numerous short-term assignments outside the country in Africa,Asia and Europe.

For the past 12 years Ben has worked with Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) of which he has been instrumental in developing in several capacities.He has managed the VSO programme in Kenya in partnership with a diverse range of government,donor agencies and both local and international non-government organisations.Ben is currently the Executive Director of VSO Jitolee.

Ben is passionate about social development,particularly around enterprise development and agri-business,young people and women.

Ben sits on the Viwango Board as a founding member.Ben is also the chair of Kenya Society for the Blind Council and a Board member of the FORUM Executive.Ben is also a Rotarian and is an active member of the Lavington Branch.

Ben has an MA (Economics) Degree in Development Administration and Management from the University of Manchester UK and a BA Sociology from the University of Nairobi.
